    Inovalon seeks a Site Data Collector Traveler (SDCT) residing in the Charlotte, NC area who will be responsible for the retrieval of information from medical record charts based on a pre-defined date of service period from Care Provider Sites. All information found will be scanned into the data collection tool and uploaded (via internet) to the central for review and subsequent data extraction. The Site Data Collector Traveler requires travel at a maximum of 75%, within the United States and Puerto Rico.   This role must be available to travel a minimum of one full week at a time.  Travel is generally done on a Sunday from the (SDCT)’s home to the review location. Scheduled reviews would take place Monday - Friday.  If only a one week event, the traveler would travel home Friday night or Saturday, depending on the scheduled assignment.


    • Collect and upload the appropriate documentation into the data collection tool from care providers site medical records, and other associated medical-field materials, personnel, and documents either onsite or at remote locations as outlined and designated by the Company;
    • Responsible for the uploading completed reviews to Inovalon’s centralized server system via the Internet, intranet, and associated web portal;
    • Communicate on a daily basis with designated Review Specialists and provide feed-back and updates pertaining to any and all reviews;
    • Maintain the highest level of professionalism in the communications and interactions with clients of the Company and staff at sites where reviews are performed;
    • Maintain accurate records of travel time and distances associated with chart abstractions performed on behalf of the Company;
    • Provide ongoing availability no less than one month in advance that meets the agreed weekly commitment and will allow optimal performance in the scheduling of on-site reviews;
    • Attend all training and Company professional development meetings; and
    • Undergo quality, accuracy, and adhere to Company policies of such data collection.


    • Minimum on one (1) year experience in medical records/healthcare environment;
    • Prior travel assignment experience preferred;
    • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and procedures;
    • Must have a valid/unrestricted driver’s license within the United States and be named on your auto insurance policy;
    • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills;
    • Proficient experience in using office computer software;
    • Must be positive, professional, personable and the flexibility to travel to various sites;
    • Proficient analytical skills;
    • Meticulous attention to detail;
    • Ability to lift 35 pounds; and
    • Successful completion of training program and adhere to Company policies.
