    Inovalon is seeking a DevOps Engineer to advance our “Automate Everything” program.   The DevOps Engineer will drive the implementation of our no touch CI/CD pipeline. The DevOps engineer will design and constructe, implement and mentor junior staff on the CICD pipeline.  

    This role offers flexibility to work from one of our Herndon, VA, Bowie, MD , Snellville, GA or Phoenix, AZ offices.  

    Responsibilities

    • Demonstrated track record of DevOps working on on-prem, AWS; and Azure;
    • Experience in AWS services S3, EC2, ECS, EBS, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, as well as ELK Stack frameworks;
    • Deep understanding of DevOps culture and methodology, continuous integration and delivery through automation;
    • Understand all the dependencies related to the build, seek solutions, follow processes (can be manual in the beginning) to ensure delivery;
    • Experience automating from code commit to QA and Prod while employing BVT’s, Blue/Green, Canary approaches, etc.;
    • Understanding 6C’s of DevOps and ability to contribute to all of those areas;
    • Seek opportunities to automate CI/CD pipeline and remove waste;
    • Provide emergency support as necessary, including after-hours;
    • Linux using Automation and Configuration systems;
    • Use build and release automation tools (Artifactory, Chef, Docker, DynamoDB, Elastic Load Balancers, GIT, Jenkins, Kracken, Kubernetes, Lambda, Maven, MSBuild, and VMware) to deliver timely builds and deployments to development, integration and user testing labs;
    • Automate deployments using PowerShell or other tools for command line scripting;
    • Contribute to the toolset vision for the configuration and automated deployment;
    • Deploy and automate infrastructure/applications in a cloud environment;
    • Work with development, QA, product management, and production Ops teams to deliver on-time and high-quality deployment; and
    • Deploy and automate infrastructure/applications in on-prem and cloud environments.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field;
    • 4+ years of experience in Build and Release engineering, scripting and automation in a Unix and Windows environment;
    • Intermediate to advanced level expertise in managing and troubleshooting the following platforms: LINUX, Windows 2012/2016 servers, IIS/ TCP/IP network protocols;
    • Understanding of the Agile framework;
    • Experience with cloud platforms (Preferably AWS & Azure);
    • Familiarity with ASP, C#, HTML, JavaScript, .NET, or SQL;
    • Familiarity with server and application monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Solarwinds, ELK);
    • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities, knowledge of change management, and experience implementing new process/technology to standardize operations;
    • Knowledge of various Scripting Languages (PowerShell, Perl, Python);
    • Ability to work both independently and effectively in teams; and
    • Experience with Code Quality tools like SonarQube is preferred.
