    The (Associate) Vice President, Innovation Solutions will serve to lead the cultivation, development and execution of Inovalon’s new strategic data and analytic technology solutions and products. Expanding and advancing current Inovalon ONE™ capabilities as well as the identification of new solutions and products is fostered through innovative partnerships across the broader U.S. healthcare ecosystem. These advancements will seek to further expand Inovalon’s leadership in predictive healthcare analytics including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) which are brought to the healthcare system through the advancement of bi-directional clinical interoperability with technology partners including Electronic Health Record (EHR) partners and provider and health systems.

     

    Inovalon is seeking an individual who can “think outside of the box” and find new and innovative approaches to clinical engagement in areas such as telemedicine, consumer engagement, value-based care approaches for health care systems – employing the latest technologies including FHIR, block chain and others. Inovalon celebrates a “fail (and learn) fast” approach.

     

    This individual will work collaboratively with members of the Product and Innovation team and other key enterprise product, strategy and technology teams, under the leadership of the Senior Vice President of Innovation and Data Strategies; delivering on key corporate goals to improve quality and efficiency for its partners and for the health care system as a whole.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the identification and cultivation of new data-driven technology solutions that support enterprise differentiation and growth nationally which align with and leverage Inovalon’s predictive analytics and interoperability platform to help drive value and innovation within Inovalon;
    • Use best practices to evaluate, test and advance new innovative solutions (leveraging a “fail fast” approach) with a focus on driving meaningful improvements in healthcare outcomes and quality while advancing differentiation and enterprise value;
    • Drive new innovative partnership that leverage Inovalon’s interoperability with provider/health systems, Health Information Exchanges, and similar models given their unique architecture and methods of data management;
    • Advance capabilities using interoperability, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and other cutting-edge data-driven and analytic solutions to extend Inovalon’s position in the health care system and consumer product areas;
    • Lead engagement across the enterprise of new innovative opportunities with potential clients where new health care data, analytic and technical solutions are required and directly engage clients to advance the proposed solution;
    • Lead the continual research of current market trends in healthcare solutions, value-based care, and provider-facing technology, representing Inovalon in related organizations and present opportunities to leverage such to improve efficiencies and add value to Inovalon and its customers;
    • Provide leadership with the team to ensure timely delivery and execution of corporate product and solution goals from within Innovation & Data Strategies which are aligned to each product’s business plan and P/L;
    • Provide expert guidance to all Inovalon departments on how to leverage predictive analytics, platform technologies and health system engagement to drive value in the health care ecosystem with current and potential clients; and
    • Advise on portfolio of product ideas and concepts through the innovation process from concept to launch.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree or higher in areas of health care and technology;
    • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated leadership in health care systems and technologies advancing innovation in health care to improve cost, quality and utilization;
    • A minimum of 10 years in experience in executing on business strategies, leading teams to timelines and deliverables to deliver on those strategies;
    • Real-world expertise in delivering healthcare technology solutions with provider and health systems at a senior level with proven results with a strong focus on Interoperability with EHR's;
    • Director or higher level experience in managing large teams in healthcare-related organizations and expertise partnering with the business;
    • Must possess a broad and deep technical understanding in the areas including interoperability including IHE and HL7, applications of healthcare data, NLP and ML capabilities, and block chain use cases;
    • Exhibits a deep and thoughtful understanding of how healthcare data can be employed to advance healthcare outcomes, quality and efficiencies including a strong appreciation to application of healthcare data use and HIPAA;
    • Excellent technical and analytical skills and the ability to understand the Company’s products and process;
    • Innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and “outside the box”;
    • Business acumen and ability to blend client and product needs with technical analysis;
    • Ability to collaborate, lead as an influencer, and manage significant change;
    • Leadership skills building and mentoring a team; and
    • Solid writing and communications skills including the ability to present complex analytical concepts to internal and external users.
