    The Interoperability Integration Specialist will lead the technical engagements with leading EHR partners, HIEs, and health system sites to grow and expand Inovalon’s connectivity.  Working collaboratively with the EHR Interoperability product management team and the strategic partnership team, the Interoperability Integration Specialist will ensure consistent delivery on the key corporate interoperability provider engagements.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the management of connectivity projects with leading interoperability partners and health systems including assessment of scope, resource requirements, and scheduling;
    • Assist in the growth and expansion of Inovalon’s interoperability platform including expanding HL7 and FHIR use cases by developing and delivering interoperability platforms with key partners;
    • Responsible for the development of implementation guides, operational blueprints, project deliverables, design sketches/drawings, specifications, and mock-ups;
    • Frequently interface with other functional organizations for  software development, operations management, marketing, and sales;
    • Work closely with Business Development and Sales Engineers to help overcome technical sales objections related to interoperability thus supporting creation of qualified expansion pipeline opportunities;
    • Provide support to Strategic Partnership team to identify and assess interoperability opportunities;
    • Provide support, research, and subject matter guidance including HL7, FHIR and related areas of expertise to software development teams to help them arrive at requisite supporting systems concepts, software development plans, and integrated service delivery processes;
    • Assist in the formulation of new innovative products and their operations consistent with Inovalon’s national interoperability advancements to support healthcare quality improvement and other similar use cases;
    • Engages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure aware of priorities, progress and achievement; and
    • Standardizes reporting on Key Performance Indicators and performance dashboards specifically for implementation engagements.

    Qualifications

    • 5 or more years of experience with implementation services consulting or innovative healthcare product management;
    • Technical expertise within the interoperability arena including with one or more areas related to HL7, IHE protocol, FHIR, CDS Hooks and the like;
    • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or similar areas of study preferred; BA Degree acceptable but must have minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience; 
    • Agile and energetic; comfortable adapting quickly to meet new business needs with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm;
    • Great communicator with strong business acumen and experience interacting with all levels of business stakeholders;
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with proven ability to effectively plan, implement and administer projects to achieve business objectives;
    • Highly computer literate and with expert competence using Microsoft Office products; and
    • Microsoft SQL and Excel skills for the purpose of quantitative analysis are preferred.
