    The Clinical Trainer/Coach (CTC) is responsible for developing and conducting trainings for new and existing clinical resources (generally, nurse practitioners) who perform in-home assessment visits on behalf of Inovalon and our clients. The position also oversees implementation and updates of training plans as necessary in response to internal/external needs (Ex:  health plan requests, technology changes), changes in charting systems and industry/regulatory standards. She/he may also be assigned clinical auditing duties of clinical resources in accordance with demand.



    • Conduct live and virtual trainings related to Inovalon's and industry clinical charting systems as part of onboarding field-based clinical resources;
    • Provide individualized coaching and education to clinical resources requiring instruction or remediation;
    • Prepares documentation tracking training and coaching efforts and results of coaching efforts;
    • Establish and facilitate routine communication with Clinical auditors and Medical Directors, as appropriate to assess adequacy and impact of training. Additionally, utilize findings and trends to improve policies, procedures and clinical resource comprehension via training; and
    • Manage integration of information from multiple sources and competing priorities and maintain focus on organizational goals.


    • Must be licensed and credentialed RN or NP; RN with ambulatory clinical and/or training experience ideal or Nurse Practitioner with general medicine clinical experience;
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical a health care setting (health plan or clinical);
    • Effective communication and engagement skills to influence remediation coaching;
    • Comfortability with virtual web-based meeting platforms is ideal;
    • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to review, audit, and analyze clinical documentation;
    • Direct knowledge and understanding of the HIPAA regulations/guidelines;
    • Ability to plan, and prioritize multiple activities with keen attention to details; and
    • Consistently demonstrate excellent effective time management skills and critical thinking skills.
