We are seeking highly qualified professionals that will contribute to our ongoing growth and success. We are seeking a qualified Systems Administrator to join our Datacenter Operations team.   

 

The Datacenter Operations team provides responsible administrative oversight to the Inovalon infrastructure and provides stewardship for all critical applications and related systems. The ideal candidate is a person that strives to achieve excellence backed by strong troubleshooting, system management and administration experience

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage configuration of Tableau application and its components;
  • Patch Management – Review and Execution of technology and Bug fixes Patches;
  • Life Cycle management of Software - Monitor the de-supported Software versions;.
  • Monitoring - Monitoring of Tableau application and its Components for Availability;
  • Monitor the space usage, log files for any error and server usage ( Capacity Monitoring);
  • Performance Management – Monitor the performance of Tableau application and its components ( Excluding Application Programs);
  • Backup of application and its components configuration files, & Application Metadata and repository;
  • Troubleshooting – Service Requests, Incidents, Problem related to BI Application and its components technologies/framework (exclude program / code issues);
  • Release Management – Deployment of codes;
  • Change Management – Review and execute approved changes on BI application and its components;
  • DR Support – Monitor and maintain the DR setup. Participate in  DR Drills;
  • Work with other peer team (OS, Storage, Network, Compute) for infrastructure support;
  • Support the purging / Archiving the data activity as per Purging/Archiving Policy;
  • Create and Update of SOP for all admin works;
  • Monitor, Manage and Support the High Availability on BI applications; and
  • Co-ordination with vendor for Software support as per Client-Vendor agreement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent experience;
  • 3-5 years’ experience deploying and troubleshooting Windows Server, complex computing platforms, and/or cutting-edge technologies involving virtualization, distribution, and high availability;
  • 3-4 years experience working as part of a reporting team using Tableau;
  • Extensive experience in installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Tableau environment;
  • Customer Service Focused – you maintain great relationships with your internal clients, you keep calm, courtesy, and confident during stressful situations;
  • Strong troubleshooter - you know every problem has a solution; you are unrelenting, persistent, and confident that you will find that solution. “Just reboot it” is not the fix;
  • Familiar with Active Directory administration, structure, permissions, and best practices;
  • Some Experience with patch management tools like Shavlik, WSUS, or vCenter Protect;
  • Mid-Level Experience with Windows server – building, deployment, troubleshooting;
  • Basic host level network troubleshooting experience.;
  • Experience with Remedy, or another similar ticketing system is a plus;
  • Scripting experience – must be comfortable with at least one scripting language and willing to learn PowerShell or others as required;
  • Must have higher than basic knowledge in at least one Non-Windows OS area (ie VMWare, SQL, Hadoop, AWS, Azure, Scripting, Linux, IIS, application development, etc.);
  • Must have a strong sense of team focus, partnership, and collaboration. We are not looking for a lone-wolf;
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership and urgency; the capacity to ensure a problem is not dropped, forgotten, or ignored. Not getting to the root cause of an issue annoys you;
  • Participate in departmental on-call rotation; and
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc system maintenance on Inovalon infrastructure.
