The Compliance Auditor will lead and support the Corporate Compliance Program with compliance audit tasks that evaluate and monitor business processes and related controls, operating practices, and related risk mitigation activities. This role is under the supervision of the Senior Director of Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform audits and conduct reviews that evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of enterprise-wide compliance operations;
  • Act as liaison with departments and support compliance-related operational activities including onsite and/or desktop compliance reviews;
  • Create and maintain a regular audit and reporting schedule and participate in the development of an annual Compliance Audit and Monitoring Plans ;
  • Support risk assessments of business processes and supporting environments;
  • Monitor the status of risk remediation action plans for the Corporate Compliance Department;
  • Prepare written reports on findings, conclusions and recommendations for audits, investigations and monitoring activities;
  • Assess compliance with relevant laws, regulations, company policies and contracts;
  • Research and update Corporate Compliance leadership on existing and new laws and legislation and recommend next step actions;
  • Investigate reports of suspected or potential non-compliant activity;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal audit techniques, best practices, and professional standards; and
  • Take on additional assignments and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required;
  • Minimum 4 years prior compliance, including risk assessment and audit experience;
  • Proficiency with OIG, CMS and other regulatory requirements for corporate compliance programs;
  • Prior work experience in the healthcare industry is preferred;
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office’s suite of software applications;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate to varied levels;
  • Ability to set priorities and work on multiple initiatives and tasks in a fast-paced, team oriented environment;
  • Detail oriented and self-directed with excellent follow-up skills; and
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and reasoning skills.
