Overview

The Data Analyst will support initiatives to identify health care operation improvement opportunities across a broad range of departmental and functional areas. Numerous techniques and methodologies will be applied to capture current state assessment, identification of prioritized opportunity areas, and support the development of executive-level action plan recommendations. This position interfaces with a cross-functional team of business experts, data analysts, technology systems analysts, clinical staff, client executives, client quality improvement leads, and department leads.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding products, services, infrastructure and operations of the organization to achieve optimal insight into Inovalon’s product development, capabilities, and functionality requirements;
  • Utilize industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, functional analysis, proximity analyses and fundamental statistical analyses
  • Participate in regular meetings with Product Management, Information Technology, Clients and Business Partners to facilitate the understanding, clarification, and implementation of product execution projects;
  • Assist in the development and management of a library of process maps, business requirements, and business artifacts;
  • Develop and maintain standards for product tracking, reporting and visualization; and
  • Provide any other product development, product validation, and client delivery related assistance in support of Inovalon’s strategic product execution. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or clinical field required;
  • Experience with analysis and reporting of health care data;
  • Ability to quickly learn new products, systems, and operations;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include effective listening skills;
  • Strong analytical and problems-solving skills;
  • Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Ability to perform at high level as both as a member of a team and individually;
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow up;
  • Work under minimal supervision on complex projects;
  • Microsoft Office and SQL literate and detail oriented;
  • Tableau experience preferred; and
  • Strong organizational skills.
