Inovalon has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Analyst to serve in a product execution capacity as part of a team responsible for the design, development, and operation of the INDICES® business intelligence platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding and supporting production operations for next generation business intelligence and data warehousing technologies to ensure the continuous evolution of the business intelligence platform. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain domain knowledge of relevant Inovalon products, and data sources related to product analytics and intervention;
  • Create tracking mechanisms to continuously monitor user activity and system performance in the Production environment of the application to ensure that it meets performance standards;
  • Respond promptly to any operational issues that arise and log bugs or create new backlog items as appropriate;
  • Track and manage deliverables as Inovalon on-boards new clients; 
  • Participate in project planning activities and provide support to the project managers to help develop and maintain project artifacts including tasks, timeline, milestones for the project plan;
  • Assist in the development and management of  a library of process maps, business requirements and business artifacts;
  • Ensure timely delivery of ongoing tasks related to compliance, training, marketing, billing, and other priorities; 
  • Participate in discussions to gather and document business requirements (user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, test plans, etc.) from multiple sources (both internal and external) in enough detail to position successful development by IT and subsequent implementation into business intelligence platform;
  • Support Product Owner in planning and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all new product features, enhancements, and defect remediation;
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and Release Management (RM) teams for code testing and promotion of code to Production;
  • Understand and troubleshoot visualization and data issues using complex SQL as well as big data tools including Hive, Jethro and ELK; and
  • Understand and troubleshoot problems as it relates to the web portal; working knowledge of .NET and python is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, MIS or equivalent work experience required;
  • 2+ years of business related work experience in one or more of the following areas: Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analysis/Management, Healthcare, and or Technology;
  • Understanding of the reporting and visualization of data, ETL, and data warehousing principles (including relational, OLAP, and non-relational);
  • Highly proficient using Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include effective listening and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environment a plus;
  • Highly creative mindset for analytical problem solving ;
  • Strong balance between business and technology skills;
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and execute complex projects;
  • Experience in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Hortonworks a plus;
  • Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously; and
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow up as well as meticulous organization skills.
