The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the liaison between clients, business users, and IT to develop, document, and monitor development of Risk Adjustment products and enhancements throughout the product lifecycle.  This includes collaborating with business users and IT to develop user stories, functional specifications and business process flows designed to communicate user requirements, prioritize feature requests, and identify modifications to existing systems and processes required to meet user demand.


  • Utilize and apply advanced SQL, T-SQL, SAS, and other data analysis tools as well as industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, and functional analysis to perform complex data analysis, including production of SQL queries, in support of ad-hoc and routine management or customer requests;
  • Assess, promote and implement quality assurance management best practices as it relates to data;
  • Provides accurate and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, analysis and interpretation of data;
  • Develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing and presenting data products and assemble data analytical input, including charts, tables, graphs, and other analysis;
  • Develop and maintain standards for operational tracking and reporting;
  • Assist in the development and management of a library of process maps, business requirements, and business artifacts;
  • Develop management system and workflows as well as perform operational tasks to support CRM tool, partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful on-time delivery of data and reporting;
  • Work closely with various departments within the product team to provide input into requirements that impact processes, procedures and workflows; and
  • Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding products, services, infrastructure and operations of the organization to achieve optimal insight into Inovalon's product development, capabilities, and functionality requirements.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or clinical related field required;
  • Analytic and reporting experience with health care data;
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and follow-up, meticulous organizationl skills;
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, T-SQL, SQL Server and various reporting platforms;
  • Ability to quickly learn new products, systems, and operations;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, to include effective listening skills;
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills;
  • Business analytical skills: process flows, spreadsheets, modeling, procedures;
  • Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously; and
  • Work under minimal supervision on complex projects.
