Inovalon is seeking a Senior Software Developer responsible for developing functional and performance test software. The senior developer will be part of a scrum team and will be responsible for Test Driven Development Solutions. As a Senior Software Developer in our Test Engineering team, you will use our Full-Stack development knowledge as part of a scrum team to ensure that a quality & robust product is being delivered to the customer. Candidate will have a strong Dev Ops and automation background and will design, develop, test and implement Continuous Integration testing solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop software performance test solutions using open source tools such as JMeter;
  • Write automated tests in various tools/languages (Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium, Python and Java);
  • Help enable the Continuous Integration and Delivery platform;
  • Ability to write and present to key stakeholders the findings of test results;
  • Writing, maintaining & managing test infrastructure for testing security, performance/scale, usability of software products;
  • Execute test driven development tests in partnership with the software engineers;
  • Create data models that mimic “real” data to simulate tests;
  • Alert sprint team to deviations from standards, and recommend alternatives that would lead to a more optimal user experience;
  • Participate in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge; and
  • Develop effective relationships within and among departments and other Agile team members.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years Full Stack Developer experience;
  • Expert knowledge of HP Performance Center (HPPC) and Jmeter;
  • Experience in DEV/Ops with focus on performance engineering and analysis;
  • Experience knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundary Architecture and creating testing solutions for Microservices and Containers in a Continuous Development and Integration environment;
  • Experience Object Oriented Design and Development;
  • Experience implementing scalable, distributed web services in REST and SOAP;
  • Experience with monitoring, debugging, profiling, and memory analysis in Windows, LINUX and JAVA Applications;
  • Proficient in creating automation test suite and performing automation testing for Java webservices;
  • Proficient in various DB technologies (MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Postgress);
  • Experience developing and maintaining software in a Linux, Windows and JAVA environments;
  • Experience in Onsite/Offshore model;
  • Hands-on experience writing unit test cases using JUnit;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Continuous Integration tools (Open Source or commercially available such as Bamboo or Jenkins);
  • 2+ years writing automated scripts using a variety of test automation tools such as Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber, and SoapUI;
  • 2+ years’ experience creating and maintaining various Scripting Languages such as Windows PowerShell, Python, Java Script and/or Ruby;
  • 2+ years working with batch and ETL based applications;
  • Understanding of how leading web browsers function (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Chrome);
  • Strong technical and analytical skills;
  • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in teams; and
  • Candidates must demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
