Overview

The Sr. Manager, Compensation is responsible for the design, communication, administration and compliance of corporate compensation programs. Responsible for job analysis & evaluations, market pricing, salary survey submission, and the annual salary review and bonus planning process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Inovalon’s compensation strategy, guidelines and policies with the involvement of Inovalon’s leaders, ensuring regulatory compliance guidelines are met;
  • Analyze, compile, research, and validate data to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of analytics. Presents, displays, and calculates various statistics displaying analysis results. Design and prepare reports to support various compensation analyses.
  • Assess market budget and range movement data and develop annual range structure movement recommendations to ensure desired competitive market position is maintained
  • Prepare and maintains company-wide job description records; develop and maintain job description reference library
  • Lead annual compensation projects such as merit review, promotions, and bonus from design through execution, including detailed project planning, communication planning, risk analysis and execution through cross team collaboration
  • Provide day-to-day management support to HR Compensation staff.
  • Partner with HRIS to ensure smooth integration of compensation structures
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company; and

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in employee and executive compensation management, ideally in large, diverse public companies with merger and acquisition activity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in developing and maintaining compensation structures and salary ranges.
  • Strong analytical acumen
  • Key competencies include collaborative and consultative skills and the ability to effectively influence and gain critical buy-in of the C-Suite and other leaders in the organizations;
  • Strong process and project-management skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, re-prioritize or problem-solve as needed and ensure accurate delivery of product
  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint;
  • Proven experience leveraging Market Survey software and benchmarking data /tools;
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, preferably ORACLE;
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, along with strong problem solving skills; and
  • CCP Certification Preferred.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree  or relevant equivalent required;

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time) Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force ;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and

Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes
