Overview

Inovalon's Marketing and Communications team is seeking a Product Communications Specialist to join their fantastic team!

 

The Product Communications Specialist is responsible for editing communications on behalf of clients. The incumbent will draft and edit documents such as correspondence to clients pertaining to notifications on enhancements, compliance notices and new product options. The Product Communications Specialist will handle all processes relating to managing these communications with internal and external stakeholders. Also, the Product Communications Specialist will contribute content for Inovalon’s intranet and be responsible for writing and posting content for our employee Twitter account.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop product copy that supports the business objectives of Inovalon and the client, capturing the technical aspects of individual products and client needs, as well as engaging the target audience in an appropriate manner
  • Partner with the stakeholders, as part of a team, to understand client needs, objectives, and
  • revisions to communications
  • Gather essential communication objectives from meetings, briefings, interviews, and research to inform the development of product communications
  • Support the Client Implementations team with creation, management, and fulfillment of materials
  • Conduct outside research to fill in the gaps when input is unclear or incomplete for the development of product communications
  • Coordinate necessary internal approvals of communications material including legal, clinical, and marketing
  • Develop understanding of Company products, applicable industries, and target audience to apply to all communications
  • Implement revisions and ensure accurate translations of working communications
  • Own and drive initiatives to successful completion
  • Contribute and edit content for the Company’s intranet
  • Coordinate and prepare social media content for Inovalon’s twitter account
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;
  • Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications (e.g., writing, editing, language teaching) required
  • Working knowledge of print, Web, writing styles, grammar, syntax, and punctuation
  • Ability to produce written documents that translate clinical, scientific, and strategic institutional language that is clear and comprehensible to a variety of audiences, including, but not limited to, media organizations, clients, referring physicians, patients, and consumers
  • Must have strong writing and editing skills
  • Must be familiar with writing and posting content on social media platforms and with using social media management tools
  • Must be fluent in writing and speaking English
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience required.
